Research to support the implementation of policies for the containment of soil consumption in Lombardy (l.r. 31/2014)
Poliedra, in partnership with DAStU (Department of Architecture and Urban Studies of the Politecnico), carried out a research and survey project for the definition of methodological and monitoring tools in order to support the implementation of the Regional Law for the reduction of soil consumption and the redevelopment of degraded land (l.r. 31/2014) in Lombardy, commissioned by PoliS-Lombardia.
In detail, four activities were conducted, concerning:
- studies to support the operational monitoring of soil consumption and associated dynamics, in order to assess the effects of plans or programmes and identify corrective actions;
- analysis and evaluation of policies to curb soil consumption and urban regeneration, in order to identify (current or potential) synergies at various levels of planning;
- analysis of trends and needs of regional productive activities, which constitute one of the main factors of uncertainty in the definition of non-residential land consumption thresholds;
- identification of indicators for the PTR consistent with the Sustainable Development Goals, which allow to investigate the indirect effects of land consumption on the dynamics related to environmental and social issues framed in the UN 2030 Agenda.
Poliedra was involved in the coordination of all four activities and was responsible for carrying out the activity related to the SDGs.
