TRANS-PRICE
Guide line for pricing in Europe
The project, funded by the European Commission Transport DG, aimed at predisposing guidelines, at the European level, pursuing a better modal split among urban transport modes. The measure that has been taken into account was pricing policy and its various configurations: distance-based or time-based pricing, park pricing, etc. The project has been based on the analysis and evaluation of eight differently-sized cities in Europe (Athens, Como, Göteborg, Graz, Helsinki, Leeds, Madrid and York). On particular, the Italian site of Como, was featured by the introduction of an automatic access control and park payment system in Villa Geno lakeshore area.
