Poliedra designed and built for GLS Italy SpA a prototype platform to enable a smart governance of last mile logistics processes. The design developed by observing the processes on the field: personnel handling goods in the warehouse, drivers distributing and collecting services throughout Milan area and the control room operations.

Through this activity it was possible to highlight the key elements of the process and to the relevant information to support decisions, both in the planning and management phase. Furthermore, on the basis of the company objectives, the operational constraints and the practices implemented by the staff, “tailor-made” procedures and algorithms have been defined in order to guide and to support the operational choices, to allow easier, more precise and effective monitoring of assets and performance and to add value to data collected through devices.
