FLOOD-IMPAT+

An Integrated Meso & Micro Scale Procedure to Assess Territorial Flood Risk

The Flood-IMPAT+ project aims to define new methods for flood damage prediction, which can support both the basin planning (aimed at mitigating flood risk) and the emergency planning, using the city of Lodi as case study area.
The project partnership includes: the Politecnico di Milano working group – Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, DICA (project leader), the authority of the Po River District, the Interregional Agency for the Po river, the Lombardy Region, the Province of Lodi and the Municipality of Lodi. Flood-IMPAT+ is funded by the Cariplo Foundation.
Poliedra has been commissioned by DICA to design and facilitate the co-mapping laboratories, aimed at achieving a shared representation of the assessments of danger, vulnerability and risk produced by Politecnico experts, thus improving the communication and collaboration between the institutions and the management of the emergency and the civil and economic society of the territories involved.
