Ecosustainable Smart Mobility

The project, funded under the National Technological Cluster “Technologies for Smart Communities”, aimed to define hardware/software methodologies, indicators, and policies for mobility management, to minimize the environmental impact in terms of pollution, improve the service provided to the users  (travel times), and optimize fuel consumption. In particular, the project aimed to develop a mobility management system through monitoring and control based on innovative technologies like wireless sensors with low energy consumption, applications on smartphones, intelligent traffic lights, security checkpoints, etc..

Poliedra contributed to define application scenarios, to design models and algorithms for the optimal routing of users and for the technical evaluation of alternative routes, to design innovative mechanisms of user engagement and techniques for the interface gamification and to model and personalize the infomobility service.
