Technical support for the Regional Air Quality Plan 2025-2031 of the Valle d'Aosta Region

Poliedra is assisting the Valle d’Aosta Region in drafting and editing the 2025–2031 Regional Air Quality Plan. This plan is the regional strategic tool for planning, coordinating, and overseeing territorial policies aimed at improving air quality and reducing atmospheric pollution.

Valle d’Aosta generally has good air quality, with low pollution levels, and is one of the few Italian regions not subject to EU infringement procedures for exceeding the limits set by Directive 2008/50/EC.

Despite this, the Region is committed to ongoing improvement, also in view of the new EU Air Quality Directive 2024/2881, which will take effect on 1/1/2030 and introduces stricter standards.

The Regional Air Quality Plan aims to meet such new targets by 2030, outlining specific measures and building on synergies with other regional plans, such as the Environmental Energy Plan and the Transport Plan.
