The project, coordinated by Ecomuseo Martesana and co-funded by Fondazione BCC Milano, aims to map the existing network of unpaved rural roads connecting urban centres and key points of interest across the Martesana rural landscape, from eastern Milan along the Martesana Canal to the Adda River.

The map will support the promotion of these rural roads as walking and cycling routes, enhancing inter-municipal mobility while improving access to and awareness of the Adda-Martesana area’s rural heritage.

Poliedra will provide technical and scientific support for collecting, integrating and mapping data on the road network and rural points of interest. Starting from existing digital datasets, the network will be further developed in cooperation with the municipalities and park authorities involved.

The project will deliver an open-access digital map for exploring the area and a geographic information layer to support local authorities in spatial planning.
