Online courses carried out, within an agreement between the Ministry for Environment, the Ministry for Public Functions and FORMEZ (Center for services, assistance, studies and training for the modernization of Public bodies), to support and to assist the development and the structuring of the environmental governance processes, from both a technical-scientific and an operational point of view, by training and specializing sectors of the Public Administration involved in the environment and territory protection

A portal allowing access to courses and software on specific environmental themes (air quality, river water quality, wild fauna management, waste treatment, energy saving, transport systems for sustainable mobility) and on cross-cutting themes (decision support systems, systems for the transparency of procedures) has been implemented.

Among the implemented innovative learning tools: distance learning, distance tutoring, query & answer newsgroup, self-evaluation methods.
