Technical assistance to the Environmental Authority of Regione Lombardia 2000-2007

The technical assistance activities focused on the implementation of the Unitary Programming Document Objective 2, financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

In particular, the most significant activities are:

  • design and preparation of calls for co-financing addressed to Local Bodies, aimed at disseminating the tools of environmental sustainability (Local Agenda 21, GPP, EMAS, environmental accounting);
  • setting of both the environmental contents and the criteria for selection within the calls for funding, directed to both organizations (tourist facilities, industrial areas facilities, …) and companies (tourism, manufacturing, …);
  • Environmental Assessment of the Integrated Programmes for Local Development (PISL), regional instruments for the negotiated programming;
  • designing and co-management with specific field experts of actions to support Lombard organizations aiming to enhance their knowledge and design skills in the field of public participation to decisions, establishment of participatory tools for landscape analysis, energy saving and spreading of renewable sources of energy.
