Acceptability of Fiscal and Financial measures and Organisational Requirements for Demand management
Funded under the Fourth Framework Program by European Commission Transport DG, the project analysed the issues related with pricing policies that, pointing at managing road transport demand and its negative externalities implying pollution and congestion, often result scarcely acceptable among citizens and local decision makers themselves.

The study analysed the existing contradiction between economic theories, generally suggesting the full payment of marginal costs as the right solution, and the practical knowledge that shows the difficulties deriving from the application of pricing policies.
